HI Makerspace: Holiday Papercrafts

Humanities Institute MakerSpace
Fri, December 4, 2026
1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Hagerty Hall Entryway & 198 Hagerty Hall

Announcing the return of the Humanities Institute Makerspace! On select afternoons this academic year, 198 Hagerty Hall and the surrounding hallway space will be open for drop-in art-making.

The HI Makerspace is a drop-in, self-led art studio for the OSU community and beyond! Students, faculty, staff and members of the greater Columbus community are all invited to stop by and make something at your own pace. Each month will feature a different theme or set of materials, and we'll have general art supplies on hand so you can see where your creativity leads you.

December will feature holiday and winter-themed papercrafts, including greeting cards, garlands and more. Learn about the folkloric monsters of the winter season and make cards, gift tags and bookmarks about these mystical creatures! Krampus, Frau Perchta, Yeti and more- plus other holiday and winter-themed projects with traditional (non monstrous) materials.

For more information, or if you are interested in co-hosting an upcoming open studio event, email Megan Moriarty, Marketing and Communications Specialist for the Humanities Institute.
