About Our Spaces
The Humanities Institute is located on Ohio State University's main campus in Columbus, OH. Our programs and events can be found across campus and the greater Columbus area, but our main offices are located in Hagerty Hall. Our two main spaces, 198 and 455 Hagerty, are described below.

198 Hagerty Hall
Our main event space is 198 Hagerty Hall, located on the first floor of the building, directly across from the Center for Languages, Literatures and Cultures. In 198 Hagerty, you can find: a gallery space, working space available during business hours, and a classroom/event space that is reservable by contacting our staff. 198 Hagerty's main classroom/event space can host approximately 35 people.
455 Hagerty Hall
Our more formal space is 455 Hagerty Hall, located on the fourth floor of the building. In 455 Hagerty, you can find: the Center for Folklore Studies archives, a meeting space (capacity is at least 12 people), informal meeting area with seating, and our staff offices.
How to Request Meeting Space
Are you looking for a space to collaborate or work on projects side by side? Or are you in a student group looking for a space to gather? You are invited to reserve time in the Humanities Institute conference room in the 455 suite. This room seats at least 12, with a whiteboard and projection screen. There also is a galley kitchen nearby. Use this form to reserve a room.
