David Staley, Associate Professor of History, has been named Interim Director of the Humanities Institute.  He is the author of numerous books, including History and Future: Using Historical Thinking to Imagine the Future (2006) and Brain, Mind and Internet: A Deep History and Future (2011).  His research interests include digital history, the philosophy of history, historical methodology, and the history and future of higher education.
