Shurouq Ibrahim is a Ph.D student and Graduate Teaching Associate in the Department of Comparative Studies. Her previous research examined individual, vicarious, and cultural trauma in 21st century world literature. Her current research investigates the intersections between trauma, spirituality, and the supernatural in the contemporary literature and film of the MENA region and the Arab diaspora.
