On View: Winged Creatures and Flying Shamans

The Humanities Institute is currently hosting a mini exhibition from the Kawsay Ukhunchay Andean and Amazonian Indigenous Art and Cultural Artifacts Research Collection. "Winged Creatures and Flying Shamans" is a selection of feather art and other objects based on ritual, religion and myth from the Andes and Amazonian regions of South America. This is one of four remote exhibitions around campus, each of which involves its own unique collaborations around thematic content. The full collection, which is housed in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese (Hagerty 255), supports a growing curriculum and innovative programming on the Andes and Amazonia connected to the Quechua Language Program and the Andean and Amazonian Studies Minor at OSU. See the mini-exhibition in 455 Hagerty through the end of the semester.
