Presenters - Laura Morreale (MED, Independent Scholar), Elisa Tersigni (REN, Folger Shakespeare Library)

At a time when libraries and archives are closed across the world, the growing number of online resources and scholarly projects are more important than ever.  On Friday September 18 at 4:00PM via Zoom, CMRS will host a workshop on MEDREN Digital Resources featuring Medievalist Laura Morreale and Renaissance specialist Elisa Tersigni.  Dr. Morreale will focus on the Deiphira Projectan international collaboration to transcribe, translate, and contextualize a manuscript copy of Leon Battista Alberti's treatise on love, now housed at Harvard's Houghton library. Dr. Tersigni will present on the Folger Shakespeare Library's manuscript transcription projects.  Both speakers will also address the state of Digital Humanities in the MEDREN fields and the new knowledges/methodologies being produced.

Opportunities for questions and discussions with each speaker will be provided after each presentation.
