The Humanities Institute welcomes the Medical Humanities Working Group, who are holding their inaugural meeting on September 16. Light refreshments will be served.
Initial members of this group include Christa Teston, Jim Phelan, Barbara Piperata, Erin Moore and Michael Ibrahim.
The group serves as an intellectual hub across the Humanities, Social Sciences, and beyond to explore how illness, health, and care intersect with cultural and social factors. Over the next two years, our primary goals are to:
- Build an interdisciplinary community
- Support member research and creative projects
Connect humanities research to practical care and treatment
Please fill out this brief RSVP form to let us know if you can attend, or to indicate that you cannot make it but want to stay involved.
