This year's Feibel Lecture features University of California-Berkeley professors Ethan Katz (History) and Steven Davidoff Solomon (Law), who are co-directors of Berkeley's Antisemitism Education Initiative. The increase of antisemitic incidents and expressions on college campuses continues to rise. While some believe expressions of antisemitism are ‘free speech,’ college and university administrators are concerned about not going afoul of the First Amendment, and antisemitic verbal attacks potentially leading to hate crimes. Professors Katz and Solomon will discuss these issues and what Berkeley's Antisemitism Education Initiative does to promote antisemitism awareness and education.  Sponsored by the Melton Center for Jewish Studies. This event is free and open to the public. For more information, please visit https://go.osu.edu/feibel_2023.
