Imagining Mary Queen of Scots with Dr. Chris Highley
Famously beheaded by her cousin Queen Elizabeth, the name Mary Queen of Scots is embroiled in intrigue and tragedy. Professor Chris Highley of OSU will examine conflicting representations of Mary during her own time and since, in order to identify the major tropes through which she has been understood. Attention will be given to earlier versions of Mary on screen as well as the highly anticipated film, starring Margot Robbie, released in early December.
