Announcing the launch of the Humanities Institute Makerspace! On select afternoons this academic year, 198 Hagerty Hall will be open for drop-in art-making. Led by a rotating list of co-sponsors, the maker space will offer projects and materials in a variety of media, with projects reflecting the content and interests of our centers and other humanities affiliates.
December will feature holiday and winter-themed papercrafts, including greeting cards, garlands and more. Learn about the folkloric monsters of the winter season and make cards, gift tags and bookmarks about these mystical creatures! Krampus, Frau Perchta, Yeti and more- plus other holiday and winter-themed projects.
Makerspace events are free, open to everyone and welcoming to all. No registration is required- drop in before or after the Humanities Institute holiday party on Thursday, December 11, or after the Folklore Studies monthly lunch on Friday, December 12.
