The annual film series with the Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies is back! This year, they're focusing on magic and witchcraft to align with the CMRS undergraduate GE course of the same name (MedRen2666). Join CMRS on the fourth Thursday of the month* in 180 Hagerty Hall to see a classic film about various portrayals of witches and witchcraft throughout history, followed by a brief talk and Q+A. Pizza and refreshments will be served. These screenings are free and are open to all. The movies will be the following:
8/22 - The Name of the Rose (1986)
9/26 - Witchfinder General (1968)
11/21 - The Love Witch (2016)*
*November's film will be held on the third Thursday because of the Thanksgiving holiday.
Find more information on each movie on their individual listing on the CMRS event calendar. Questions? Contact Nick Spitulski, instructor of Magic and Witchcraft, at spitulski.1@osu.edu.
