CHiP Fellowships


The Center for the Humanities in Practice seeks graduate students in the arts and humanities interested in building skills and exploring opportunities for employment beyond traditional tenure-track academic positions. Candidates will be working on specific, time-sensitive projects with partner organizations in a variety of fields and gain professional experience relevant to such fields as consulting, communications, facilitation, editorial work and non-profit management.

Fellows at the Center for the Humanities in Practice will hold 50% G.A. positions for Autumn or Spring semester in the term of appointment.


Interested candidates should submit a letter describing their academic background and interests, relevant work experiences beyond academics, and ideas about how project work can supplement or enhance their thinking about employment prospects and career options, along with a current C.V. and a letter from the departmental Director of Graduate Studies, to:
